Being a person absolutely committed to continuous grasping of knowledge I began finding it difficult recently to mobilize myself to keep going steady in it.

The reason is simple and designed to black out inevitable laziness to some extent. Everyone who knows me close enough has surely heard the last year was one of the toughest yet one of the most productive years ever. To balance on the cutting edge of technology and be able to pull through all the challenges you have to deal with daily you need to keep grasping knowledge.

In order to become a bit more mobile in grasping the knowledge I’ve purchased a Kindle a year ago. Since then, I purchased and read a number of books and accidentally explored a phenomenon that I would call a ‘refreshment definition’. The Kindle itself proved to be a very concise indicator of how_refreshed_and_ready_to_ roll_do_I_feel. No single person in the entire world (my wife included) is capable of such an analysis.

The output is quite simple yet self-explanatory – what is the primary desire I have while looking at this little chap? When completely down and burned out – the primary desire to vomit and throw it away.

When the brains are refreshed the chap looks quite sexy and intimidating inviting to purchase one more cool book off Amazon and have a good read. I’m so delighted that after this tremendously busy week that contained of numerous meetings, very intensive workshop and a business trip to Moscow the Kindle looks the latter way.

Since the times I remember myself this day has been awakening a special feeling of understanding the utmost effort of human will, unparalleled suffer and countless lives of fellow countrymen all put on the altar of the Great Victory.
To those men of steel who saved the future.
Lest we forget.

In my past practice I occasionally came across cases where users could not enable Trust Email from my Contacts option in OWA receiving “Junk email validation error.”

The solution I saw references for was to export contacts, run resulting file against scanpst utility , import back etc.

There is a tip that allows the fix to be  implemented with less hassle – recreation of Junk email rule via mfcmapi works the magic too.

Been assisting with one issue recently and came up with the following cmdlet.

Hey-hey, glorious PowerShell!

get-mailboxstatistics | where-object {$_.disconnectdate -ne $null} | Select DisplayName,@{Name="TotalItemSize(KB)";Expression={$_.TotalItemSize.Value.ToKB()}} | Export-Csv c:\temp\mbx.csv | foreach {$_.length=($_.length)/1024/1024/1024; $_}

The output is really straightforward.
