Hi ya’ll,

I’m Alex and I’ve been in charge for this site and its predecessor for a few years so far. The initial concept and the current creed do not have anything in common and this illustrates our local genesis we’ve witnessed.

There was a trinity of interests or hobbies that’s been holding me for all my life – history, English and IT – and to each of them I either served or am serving. A significant part of my life was connected to history and now it is over. For many years I’ve been a fan of English and proudly continue my journey. And the last but definitely not the least – IT. Currently this is my primary occupation and the field I plan to grow up with for years to come.

As I recall it’s been for more than 15 years already since I started working with MS products and they’re not just remaining in focus, they’re growing better, becoming more complicated, deeper integrated with other software released by MS powered by cutting edge technology and – which is probably even more important – requiring higher knowledge, up-to-date skills and posing serious challenges to any technology professional.

So I’m going to zero in this technologies, the ones I’m working with, getting certifications for, writing articles about:)

The company I’m working at pioneers the best messaging technologies of today and these times are really exciting! I’ve been working at my current company for a few years already and managed to take the position on Senior Exchange Engineer pretty quickly.

Cutting edge technology I deal with always keeps me on the toes and stimulates to learn continuously as if you don’t learn you’ll quickly be pushed behind and the competency you once had will get outdated and will not reflect the current level of technology.

That being said, I’m a big fan of learning and Microsoft certification and does really help you differentiate your knowledge and skills, highlighting the proficiency you’ve mastered and making you feel up to the position you hold.

Since I am mostly working with messaging technology I hold MCITP Enterprise Messaging certifications both Exchange 2007 and 2010, MCSA and a bunch of MCTS certifications.

For the time being I plan on finishing MCITP Server Administrator (one exam left) and probably to buckle down in Cisco stuff a little bit to obtain more proficiency in networking.

Stay in touch,

Alex
