Dreamt about DSLR for a couple of years and finally joined DSLR fans ranks.
Reviewed different options on how to purchase it, even thought about eBay among many others. Had to skip all foreign options as we’re all here obliged to pay 30 percent tax on all purchases more than 10k RUR. Goddamn customs!
In summer it was more than $400, now it’s $300 so the opportunities are obviously slimmer.
Another annoying moment was that the prices for cameras were about to rise just to keep pace with USD/EUR march against RUR. So I wasn’t happy to pay at least $200 bucks more and had to find out a better way:)
Ordered my camera yesterday and successfully paid for it today – the current price in the shop is 6.5k RUR higher than was my yesterday’s bid.
Needless to say I was lucky:)
The manual reminds me of short version of ‘War And Peace’ and it’s gonna take some time to master the device:)
Now the issue of taking fjords’ pictures seems to be resolved. However, some cool lens before the summer comes are likely to be bought:)
