Yes I know I’m far from being first to share the impressions:) Actually my experience with it dates as back as early November so I was among those pioneers anyway.
I’m not going to dig into technical innovations here or find and complain about its setbacks. Keep in mind – this is not even beta!
A few things that impressed me significantly – W7’s performance (I’m running it in VM Ware and it runs much smoother than Vista upon its first installation on a real PRODUCTION environment), stability (I tried to get BSOD by outdated drivers installations, playing with system defaults etc. – no luck).
Friendlier GUI in what is related to real system management. PowerShell! I’m getting a kick out of this tool running commandlets on servers and with W7 it’s here on stage to optimize routine operations! Highly appreciated.
This screenshot displays a few new things I picked to point at. Unfortunately the new SuperBar cannot be shown in its full potential as there’s no real Aero under VM Ware.
GUI is being worked on to simplify access to the most frequently used features.

Obviously that some of the options available here have been designed for future technologies that yet to be widespread.
Hated by most Vista users UAC has become more manageable and is not annoying at all!
